“The Turovets Saint Temples is the cultural heritage of the Kotlasskiy district. On the left bank of the Northern Dvina, 30 km away from Kotlas, aside from the road there is the forest mountain, at the bottom of which the Turovikha river flows. The Church of the Epiphany was built in 1780.This is the only monument of wooden cult architecture in the Kotlasskiy district. The one-storey wooden Church of the Epiphany is the Klet building of refectory type. The base of its composition is the square log house – the church itself. Its volume with two tiers of windows is covered with the eight-faceted dome, on which the vosmyerik (octagonal structure in the old Russian architecture) is rising, covered with the eight-faceted onion-shaped dome on the eight-faceted neck. The Uspenskaya Church was built in 1815 is one tire of window one-dome one-apse quadrangular frame with the refectory and the two-layered bell tower. Its decorum has features of the provincial classicism.
